Proxmark3 wont identify my card.

Please help.

I am trying to clone a proximity card but my proxmark3 wont identity it.  Im not sure if it is LF or HF, possibly HID??

The card is for a garage door opener, when you drive your car under the sensor which is about 1.5m away, the door opens.

The version I am using is:

I have cloned many mifare cards but never had this problem before.

Should I update to a new firmware?
Should I try any different commands?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Dave.

Re: Proxmark3 wont identify my card.

If it is working from 1.5 metres away then it is a UHF fob and the antenna’s on the Proxmark won’t be able to detect the fob as they work at LF and HF.

Re: Proxmark3 wont identify my card.

Best bet would be to see if you can get a manufacturer name and possibly the model number off the reader, then it can be looked up and confirmed, but yes - anything designed to work at that range will be UHF.
