Windows doesn't see the PM3

I’ve just received a brand new Proxmark3 and I have trouble with connecting it to the computer. Windows XP doesn’t see it, so I can’t use Prox GUI. I’ve tried on several machines. I’ve also noticed that the green LED doesn’t light up during boot.

That's a normal boot sequence. Try holding the button down and keep it held down when you power up. The red and yellow lights should stay on. Maybe you can then flash it with the latest firmware, which you can download from here:

  http://code.google.com/p/proxmark3/downloads/list

Thanks for the quick reply. It appears that the USB cable I was using was damaged. PM3 is working fine now.

Just a me too reply...

Received my proxmark3 this morning.  The supplied USB provided power, but proxgui couldn't see it.  Blackberry USB cable worked fine though!
