Proxmark Power Supply

Has anyone been able to power the proxmark via battery?

I've got a dead GPS battery it's just slightly smaller than the pm...  Perfect size.

you can buy usb battery packs that are meant to be used for emergency cell phone charging.  i have one that runs my pm3 for hours on a single charge.  bought mine at radio shack.

Other way is with a 9,5v. battery and a 7805 (output= 5v.) attached to your usb cable.

Still another way is to remove the ferrite bead (U1) and attach your +5V there.  Two CR2 batteries in series followed by a LM2940 (+5V LDO regulator) gives about 4 hours of continuous operation.  This way you can connect or disconnect the USB data without losing power.
